PHOENIX — The Phoenix Mercury aim to regain their footing and look for a second win against the Dallas Wings this season on Monday evening.
Previous Encounter
The Mercury lost their last game against the Wings, 98-89, on July 3. Dallas started an 11-2 run in the opening minutes and didn’t look back. Despite having only eight healthy players, the Wings led most of the game against Phoenix.
Phoenix fought to close the deficit, at one point down by four points, but couldn’t fully overcome Dallas’ early run.
Kahleah Copper’s performance was a bright spot in the game for the Mercury as she scored 33 points, shooting 58.8% from the field and 57.1% from three.
First Game
The first game between the two conference rivals was on June 11, when Phoenix took a 93-80 win at home.
Turning to page 3. The story continues as Dallas returns to The Valley.
