PHOENIX — The Phoenix Mercury released Haley Jones in an announcement by the team on Sunday, June 8.
Jones was signed to a hardship contract with the Mercury on June 1, which allowed her to stay with the team if there were less than 10 available players. The roster move hints that Phoenix is ready to activate one of its players off the injured list.
During her time with the Mercury, Jones played in four games averaging 2.3 points, 2.0 rebounds, and 1.0 assists.
