The Minnesota Lynx announced their 2026 regular season schedule on Wednesday. The 44-game schedule gets underway May 10 and wraps up on September 24.
However, it must be noted that the 2026 season is still uncertain at this point with the WNBA and the WNBA Players Association still attempting to negotiate a new Collective Bargaining Agreement. The latest deadline to reach a deal passed with the sides failing to reach an agreement. A moratorium on league business was reached in early January until a new CBA can be worked out.
Last season, Minnesota finished the regular season with the best record in the WNBA (34-10). After knocking off the Golden State Valkyries two games to none, the Lynx were bounced in the semi-finals, losing three games to one to the Phoenix Mercury.
Minnesota will potentially be without its superstar MVP candidate, Napheesa Collier, for at least the start of the season. Collier will reportedly undergo surgery on both of her ankles this month and will be sidelined for 4-6 months.
The Lynx will open their 2026 season at home against the Atlanta Dream on May 10. They close out their schedule at home as well, against Caitlin Clark and the Indiana Fever.
Speaking of Clark, the first time Lynx fans get a chance to see one of the most popular figures in the league is on Sunday, August 2, when the Fever come to Target Center to take on Minnesota. Tip off is currently set for 12 p.m. CT for that game.
Minnesota gets their first chance at avenging their playoff loss on May 12, the second game of the season, when they travel down to Phoenix to take on the Mercury.
In total, the Lynx have just one back-to-back all season, August 8 and 9, which are home games against Las Vegas and then Paige Bueckers and Dallas.
Bueckers will make her first appearance of the season at Target Center on June 9.
The Lynx's longest homestand is four games, which they have two sets of this season: July 11-18 (New York, Phoenix, Los Angeles, and Portland) and August 2-9 (Indiana, Los Angeles, Las Vegas, and Portland).
The 2026 WNBA season sees the introduction of two new teams, the Portland Fire and the Toronto Tempo. Minnesota will host Toronto for the first ever time on May 21, and Portland on June 15.
