WNBA teams have been working to get their rosters lined up before the opening tip to the 2025 season. A lot of core players from the 2024 season are coming back. Yet, like most teams, decisions had to be made before their openers.

One decision led to the Lynx waiving guard Grace Berger on Wednesday. Berger played in both of Minnesota's preseason games. She scored seven points, had two assists and one rebound in 22 total minutes of action.

Berger originally was the seventh overall pick by the Indiana Fever in the 2023 WNBA Draft. Now, the 6-foot guard will have to find another WNBA team in order to see action this season. She played with  Caitlin Clark on the Fever.

As for Minnesota, it is getting ready for Friday night's season opener against Paige Bueckers and the Dallas Wings. The Lynx will play in Dallas with tipoff scheduled for 7:30 p.m. ET. Both teams are scheduled to play again on May 21, this time with the Lynx being the home team.

Minnesota has a solid core of players coming back from their 2024 season. They include Napheesa Collier, Kayla McBride, Courtney Williams, Bridget Carleton, and Alanna Smith. Collier was named WNBA Defensive Player of the Year last season while Smith picked up All-Defensive Second Team honors.

Head coach Cheryl Reese looks to lead the Lynx toward a winning season, one that hopefully ends up in the WNBA Finals.
