Indiana Fever forward Monique Billings is excited to share her knowledge in her upcoming live session for young athletes.

With nine years of WNBA experience, Billings has ample knowledge to share with the next generation of athletes. As such, the Fever veteran joined the Voice in Sports community as a mentor.

She will host a live session on Sept. 7, where she will share valuable lessons about building an athlete’s own brand and creating an identity.

Voice in Sports officially announced the event on its Instagram account.

“Monique Billings for a LIVE mentorship session all about building your brand as an athlete–from finding your voice and owning your story to creating an identity that goes beyond the game,” the caption read.

The 6-foot-4 forward shared how she believes the platform can be very helpful in guiding young athletes’ careers. Billings said she hopes she had the same program when she was just starting out.

“I see my younger self in the athletes I get to mentor,” she said. “VIS is a resource I wish I had growing up!”

The second-round pick in the 2018 WNBA Draft has played for five teams: the Atlanta Dream, Dallas Wings, Phoenix Mercury, Golden State Valkyries and the Fever. This season, Billings is averaging 6.8 points, 4.8 rebounds and 1.0 assists per game over 39 games and 31 starts for the Fever.

The former UCLA star had one of her best games of the season against the New York Liberty on June 6. Billings logged 15 points and eight rebounds in 35 minutes. However, they suffered an 83-75 loss at Barclays Center.

The Fever are currently fifth in the WNBA standings with a 26-14 record. They have already secured a spot in the playoffs, but are still fighting for positioning.
