Indiana Fever star Caitlin Clark showed her appreciation for her former teammates cheering her on during the Fever’s preseason game, which also marked Clark’s returnt ot the Carver-Hawkeyes Arena.

In a post by the Iowa women’s basketball team’s Instagram, Jada Gyamfi and Gabbie Marshall were mic’ed up while watching the game on the courtside between the Indiana Fever and the Brazilian national team. When Caitlin Clark made a three-point shot, the two went crazy with the crowd.

“My heart,” she commented.

Jada Gyamfi is expected to take on an expanded role for the Iowa Hawkeyes in the upcoming season. Over the past two seasons, she has averaged 3.9 minutes per game, but with key players like Caitlin Clark and Kate Martin moving on to the WNBA, Gyamfi is looking to make a bigger impact. She has been focusing on getting stronger and more confident, with Iowa’s coaching staff encouraging her to step up and take on more responsibility.

As for Gabbie Marshall, she has retired from basketball and will not be playing for the Hawkeyes this season. Instead, she has chosen to pursue graduate studies in occupational therapy at the University of North Carolina. Marshall was a key player for Iowa, known for her defensive prowess and three-point shooting, but she has decided to move on from the sport.
