The New York Liberty top off their WNBA championship defense as strong favorites to do it again in 2025, and we now know who will be suited for the team throughout the season.

The Liberty has finalized their 12 player roster after making the final cuts ahead of their season opener against the Las Vegas Aces

The final cut didn't come without some casualties; former Duke standout Leaonna Odom, along with Esmery Martinez, were waived as the team trimmed down to meet league requirements.

Elsewhere on the roster, the Liberty have suspended Betnijah Laney-Hamilton's contract as she nurses a major knee injury she suffered during the inaugural Unrivaled season. She is scheduled to miss the 2025 season.

Despite the losses, the Liberty remains a heavy favorite, with their core featuring Brianna Stewart, Jonquel Jones and Sabrina Ionescu, along with the returning Marine Johannes and the addition of guard Natasha Cloud.

The key reserves include Kennedy Burker, Marquesaha Davis, Nyara Sabally and Isabella Harrison, who is fresh off a two-year stint with the Chicago Sky.

Leonie Feibich also makes her way after to the roster after spending some time playing overseas  and is expected to have a huge impact on this roster throughout the season.

The Liberty championship defense will get underway on Saturday  when they host the Aces at the Barclay Center.
