Nika Muhl Makes Major Personal Announcement Before 2025 WNBA Season
Kirby Lee-USA TODAY Sports

Nika Muhl began her rise to basketball stardom as a standout guard for the UConn Huskies. And following her impressive college basketball career, the two-time Big East Defensive Player of the Year entered the WNBA ranks as the Seattle Storm's No. 14 pick in the 2024 draft.

Muhl played sparingly in her debut WNBA campaign, but the rookie guard is still a fan-favorite around the league — especially when it comes to off and on-court fashion.

On Wednesday, the 23-year-old Croatian basketball star announced her new multi-year endorsement contract with Under Armour.

“The team behind the Under Armour brand is incredible,” Muhl said in a statement. “They’re so innovative, creative, and just relentless at what they do, and I align with that so much. Having grown up watching their athletes, I have seen how they really invest in them, letting them have their own vision but also helping them to grow and support their work. It’s so much more than just the logo—it’s an entire community that shares the same values I do.”

"Honored to be a part of the [Under Armour] fam," she added in an Instagram story.

Immediately following the conclusion of her WNBA rookie season, Muhl suffered a torn ACL injury in her first game with Turkish basketball club, Besiktas, on Oct. 3. She underwent a successful surgery to repair her ACL on Nov. 1, and is currently rehabbing to prepare for her second season with the Storm.

“It’s so much more than just the logo, it’s an entire community that shares the same values I do. I wanted to be a part of it, and thankfully, I am now and I am very excited to collaborate with them on new ideas and use with our collective platforms to have an impact beyond basketball," Muhl continued when talking about her new deal with Under Armour.

The Storm will tipoff their 2025 WNBA regular season with a matchup against the Phoenix Mercury on May 17.
