DoorDash has named WNBA star Paige Bueckers as its first-ever athlete Creative Director, marking a significant step in the brand’s growing involvement in women’s sports. The multi-year partnership begins with the 2025–26 WNBA season and includes a special merchandise drop in collaboration with Playa Society, available exclusively at playasociety.com from May 16–18.
The first release under the new collaboration is a limited-edition T-shirt designed by Bueckers, celebrating the rise and impact of women’s sports. The tee is timed with the WNBA’s opening weekend, a strategic nod to the growing visibility and cultural relevance of the league and its athletes.
“DoorDash has been a fixture throughout my college years, and as a pro, it’s been no different—I even ordered my late-night post-draft meal on DoorDash,” Bueckers said. “I was so excited when the opportunity presented itself to partner with DoorDash and serve as a Creative Director for the upcoming 2025–2026 WNBA season and I can’t wait for everyone to see the tee I worked on to celebrate the start of the W season.”
The announcement comes as Bueckers prepares for her WNBA debut with the Dallas Wings. At Wings media day, she reflected on her new city—and her first Dallas DoorDash order.
“My first DoorDash order, that’s a good question,” she said. “I think it was a taco spot, and the tacos were great, of course.”
DoorDash leadership praised Bueckers for her cultural influence and creative instincts, underscoring why she was a natural fit for the role.
“Paige is a superstar on and off the court because of her ability to bring innovation and community to basketball,” said Renaldo Chapman, VP of Brand and Creative at DoorDash. “At DoorDash, we continue to empower local communities by being the go-to 24/7 life assistant for fans, so working with Paige is a no-brainer.”
This initial release is only the beginning. Bueckers and DoorDash plan to expand the partnership throughout the WNBA season through additional exclusive merchandise, joint initiatives to support families experiencing food insecurity, and more.
As the Wings prepare to face the Minnesota Lynx in their May 16 regular season opener, Bueckers continues to make her mark, not just as a player, but as a creative force helping redefine how athletes connect with fans and brands alike.
