Dallas Wings guard Paige Bueckers is picking up where she left off last season, continuing to be a major offensive threat. That was on full display during Tuesday’s game against the Atlanta Dream, with Jordin Canada on the receiving end of one highlight play.

The Wings entered the game with confidence after defeating Caitlin Clark and the Indiana Fever in their season opener at Gainbridge Fieldhouse. Bueckers scored 20 points while adding three rebounds and four assists in that game.

The 2025 Rookie of the Year is considered one of the players with a legitimate chance to win the Most Valuable Player Award due to her versatile offensive skill set. One example came in the third quarter against the Dream, when she used Canada’s momentum against her.

Bueckers received the ball and suddenly stopped, causing the Dream guard to lose her footing and fall. The play brought the crowd at College Park Center rocking.

The social media was abuzz right after.

"She gon be the best guard in the league this year," one comment reads.

"Made JC smack the floor ," another wrote.

"Don’t do my girl Jordin like that @paigebueckers ," said one IG user.

"SHE ON SKATES!!!!," an excited fan wrote.

Over at X, people were also impressed.

Unfortunately for Bueckers, the Wings lost the game in the fourth quarter after struggling offensively during the final five minutes. Dallas trailed by just three points at the 5:33 mark but failed to score again until 3:36 remained, by which time the Dream had extended their lead to eight.

By the 1:47 mark, the Dream were already leading by 10 points, 77-67, through two free throws from new acquisition Angel Reese. The Wings scored two garbage time baskets after that.

Bueckers finished with 15 points while Arike Ogunbowale led them with 20 points. Veteran Allisha Gray had herself a field day on the floor as he finished with 26 points while Reese had 12 points and 16 rebounds.
