Paige Bueckers has come into the WNBA as the No. 1 overall pick for the Dallas Wings, but it hasn’t been up to everyone’s expectations, and it can be seen in her face.

On Friday, the Wings were dealt another loss, this time by the Golden State Valkyries 86-76, and moments before their defeat, head coach Chris Koclanes called for a timeout to come up with a play that could get them back in the game.

It was at this moment that Bueckers was seen visibly hesitant on Koclanes’ instructions, with raised eyebrows and eyes wide open. She was also seen shaking her head and felt like the play had already been botched, even before they executed it.

As it panned out, Koclanes’ team talk didn’t do much as the Valkyries went away with the win despite the Wings holding a six-point lead at the half.

Despite the defeat, Bueckers continues to produce all-star numbers with 17 points on 7-of-15 shooting, along with six assists in 37 minutes of play. This also marks another history for the generational talent as she became the first player in WNBA history to record 350 points and 100 assists within her first 20 games.

“Do you need my glasses?”— Paige Bueckers’ sideline humor goes viral

In the next game vs. Las Vegas, the Dallas Wings decided to let Paige Bueckers have some rest as Chris Koclanes worries that the “insane stretch” that they’re currently in might put their crown jewel in trouble.

However, mid‑fourth quarter, after a questionable call, she stood in street clothes and glasses and yelled to the ref: “Do you need my glasses?” Instant reaction, and social media ran it hard.

Too bad it was one of the few sparks. Dallas got crushed by 26 without her.

Bottom line: Bueckers matters. On or off the court, she’s a presence. Her numbers, her fire, her vibe—they all matter. Dallas may be slipping, but the star? She’s still shining.
