Paige Bueckers faced her fourth consecutive loss in the Dallas Wings' matchup against Atlanta Dream. She displayed a good game, but her team faltered in the second and third quarters to lose it by 83-75.
Her performance was praised by Allisha Gray, the top performer from the game.
"Paige is a great player, great rookie. Making a great impact. I'm excited to see her future."
"The whole rookie class is doing great, so I'm excited for the future of the W." She added.
Gray poured in 27 points on Saturday, adding 5 rebounds, 6 assists, and 3 blocks. She had struggled in recent games but made her comeback against the Wings.
"With Arike, and Paige, they can score...only thing I can do is make the shots difficult...they're shot makers and great players...just try and make it as difficult for them as I can." Gray added on another occasion, talking about Arike Ogunbowale and Bueckers.
Bueckers was the No. 1 pick in the 2025 WNBA Draft. She led the UConn Huskies to a national championship last season, registering just three losses all year. Her selection by Dallas was enthusiastically celebrated by Ogunbowale, a four-time All-Star.

"Paige is a great player, great rookie. Making a great impact. I'm excite to see her future."
"I'm so glad that Dallas was able to get her. She's an amazing player and she's already really mature, so she's gonna come in and make a big impact." She said.
Bueckers reciprocated the sentiment, emphasizing her excitement to play alongside Ogunbowale.
"I'm excited. She's electric," Bueckers said. "She can score at all three levels...obviously a bucket-getter, so looking to assist her a lot, space the floor, get her open looks, play off each other.
The duo will aim for their first win against the Connecticut Sun on May 27.
