The main talking point of the 2025 WNBA season was the showdown between Caitlin Clark's Indiana Fever team and Angel Reese's Chicago Sky squad.
The Fever left no questions with a dominant 93-58 win at Gainbridge Fieldhouse in Indianapolis.
However, the big fallout from the game was the incident between Clark and Reese where the Fever star sent Reese to the ground after a foul.
That play and that game have become the center of attention for sports media, and rightfully so. Stephen A. Smith told them to "embrace the rivalry."
"Angel Reese and Caitlin Clark, embrace this (rivalry)," Smith said. "It's okay, because all y'all are doing is competing."
The Clark-Reese rivalry continued, and the 2025 season kicked off with even more storylines.
Still, the greatness of Clark, who is in Year 2 in her WNBA career, could not go unnoticed by Pat McAfee during his show on Monday.
"She has surpassed everybody in the amount of time she has played in the WNBA," McAfee said. "What she has done for this city and this team is unbelievable."
"She is the one," McAfee added. "This is the golden goose. This is the one. This is the generational, multi-generational player, and we're incredibly lucky she's in Indianapolis."

McAfee spoke in great detail about Clark's greatness, even saying that his show went to cover the bracket reveal in Iowa, a testament to how much she has changed the landscape of the game.
In the opener, Clarj had 20 points, 10 rebounds, 10 assists and four blocks in a strong start to her sophomore campaign.
