Red Panda, known for her insane bowl-flipping unicycle halftime act, took a nasty fall during the WNBA Commissioner’s Cup Final between the Indiana Fever and Minnesota Lynx.
While doing her routine on her seven-foot-high unicycle, she lost balance mid-act and crashed hard to the court. She clutched her left wrist and stayed down for a while before being wheeled off. The arena fell silent. For someone who’s been doing this for decades, it was a rare miss.
Red Panda—real name Rong “Krystal” Niu—has been performing since the early ’90s. She took a break in 2013 to take care of her father during his battle with cancer, and after he passed, she returned in 2015.
“I missed it,” she once said. “The crowd. The energy. The challenge. Even though I lost my father, I still have this part of my life.”
She’s performed everywhere—from NBA games to talent shows abroad. So when something like this happens, it hits different.
After the game, Caitlin Clark showed love during an IG Live with teammate Sydney Colson.
“Red Panda, if you’re watching, we love you,” she said.
