Sabrina Ioenscu's Nike 'Oregon Ducks' Sneakers Will Be Released

It has been almost one year since the first pictures of New York Liberty guard Sabrina Ionescu's signature sneakers began circulating online. After several months of anticipation and an incredible WNBA season, the Nike Sabrina 1 finally launched in September 2023.

Ionescu's debut hoop shoe was an instant hit in the basketball and sneaker community. Not only did the Nike Sabrina 1 perform well on the court, but it was fresh and aesthetically pleasing.

Of the many colorways Ionescu debuted on the hardwood, fans were most interested in one specific style - her player-exclusive Oregon Ducks colorway. Much to our delight, those sneakers will actually be released to the public this month.

Nike Sabrina 1 'The Debut'

The Nike Sabrina 'The Debut' colorway is expected to be released on Thursday, March 14. Athletes and fans will be able to purchase the Ducks-themed sneakers for $130 in adult sizes on the Nike website.

It is very uncommon for player-exclusive colorways to be released to the public, especially designs intended for NCAA teams. However, March Madness is the perfect time for Nike to shake up the sneaker world with a rare release.

According to Nike's product description, "Sabrina Ionescu rose to stardom, repping the green and yellow. This special design pays tribute to Sabrina’s alma mater and one of her self-proclaimed favorite places on the planet. Her signature shoe helps you unlock your versatility with a snappy forefoot Zoom Air unit and cloud-like React foam to help keep you energized."

The description continued, "We used insights from next-gen athletes of all genders around the world to bring grippy, best-in-class traction, reliable midfoot support, and stability to the court—which every hooper needs. Built for crafty players like Sabrina but made for anyone who's ready to put in the work to take their game to the next level."
