The Chicago Sky went up against Brittney Griner and the Atlanta Dream, looking to climb out of a two-game losing streak.
Chicago's start to the WNBA season has been less than ideal, holding a 3-9 record and losing five of their last six games.
On Sunday, Chicago had a chance to bounce back from their recent rut and earn a victory over one of the best teams in the WNBA. Atlanta entered the game as the No. 4 seed in the league with a 9-4 record.
While the Sky and Dream were battling for the victory, Chicago center Kamilla Cardoso found success against Brittney Griner.
The second-year player forced her way into the basket with a physical finish against Griner, who stands at 6-foot-9.
Following a play that helped Chicago gain momentum and keep them within striking distance of earning the victory, the Sky posted their reaction on social media.
"Another first-half highlight," posted the official social media account of the Chicago Sky.

Kamilla Cardoso has continued to improve during her second season with the Chicago Sky. She previously entered the league from the 2024 draft when Chicago established its frontcourt, bringing in Cardoso and Angel Reese.
In her second season with the Chicago Sky, Kamilla Cardoso has posted 12.0 points, 6.8 rebounds and 1.5 assists per game.
Brittney Griner, Cardooso's competitor in the Sky versus Dream matchup, is currently playing in her first season in Atlanta.
After an incredible career with the Phoenix Mercury, Griner is looking to bring a title to Atlanta, having averaged 10.5 points, 5.7 rebounds and 0.6 assists per game.
