Sky's Allie Quigley wins WNBA 3-Point Contest for fourth time

Allie Quigley is still the undisputed queen of the WNBA 3-Point Contest, winning Saturday for the fourth time.

The Chicago Sky guard needed 22 points in the last round to secure the win and easily soared past that number with 30, nailing all fives shots at the final rack to pad her lead.

The 3-Point Contest was held from 2006-10, but was dropped from WNBA All-Star Weekend for several years before it was brought back in 2017. Quigley has dominated the event since its return, winning every year except 2019 (the contest was cancelled in 2020 due to the COVID-19 pandemic). No other player has won the competition multiple times.

The NBA's 3-Point Contest has two three-time winners — Larry Bird and Craig Hodges — but nobody has won the competition four times.

Quigley, 36, started her career with the Phoenix Mercury and had stints with the Indiana Fever, San Antonio Silver Stars, and Seattle Storm before finding a home with the Sky in 2013. Quigley is 15th in WNBA history in made 3-pointers with 488 and has a 39.48 career shooting percentage from beyond the arc.
