Dallas Wings rookie Paige Bueckers, after snagging her rookie deal at the WNBA, has her eyes locked on new sponsorship deals, which she admitted she had wanted for a long time for one particular reason.
In a recent on-court interview, Paige Buekers got honest about what future sponsorship deals she has been drawing up. As it turned out, the former college superstar is looking to be sponsored by a car and real estate company, mostly for the potential freebies that comes with it.
“I’d like to have a car dealership partnership, so I don’t have to pay for a car,” Bueckers said.
More than a car, the Wings rookie also admitted to wanting a real estate deal so she could grab a house as a freebie.
“I’d also love to have a real estate partnership so I wouldn’t have to pay for a house,” she added. “In every deal, try to get the most out of it. So, you don’t have to pay for it.”
After getting drafted as the overall first pick in the 2025 WNBA Draft, Paige Bueckers signed a three-year deal with the Dallas Wings for $247,688.
Dallas Wings rookie Paige Bueckers has added a new nickname to her collection from fans who were left speechless after her standout defensive play in Tuesday’s game against the Seattle Storm. Bueckers has been an elite scorer since her college days at UConn, and she was originally nicknamed “Paige Buckets.” However, when she made a chase-down block on Storm guard Tiffany Mitchell in the first quarter against Seattle, fans took to social media with a brand new nickname: Paige Blockers.
It didn’t take long for “Paige Blockers” to gain traction online, with fans posting their reactions such as “PAIGE BLOCKERS FOR A REASON,” and “TELL ‘EM PB!!!!”. As impressive as the defensive play was in itself, and it was impressive, it also proved Bueckers is more than just an offensive weapon as she continues to grow in the WNBA.
In both ends of the game, her ability to positively contribute has continued to establish her lead for WNBA Rookie of the Year, where she has -6000 odds on FanDuel and has created a separation between herself and fellow challengers Sonia Citron and Kiki Iriafen of the Washington Mystics.
Bueckers’ transition from college to the pros has been seamless, with her averaging over 18 points per game and now making headlines for her defense. The “Paige Blockers” nickname reflects a growing appreciation for her all-around impact and hints at her potential to become one of the league’s most complete players.
As the Wings push toward playoff contention, Paige Bueckers continues to prove she’s built for the spotlight—and fans are loving every moment.
