Sophie Cunningham didn't hold back on the Caitlin Clark vs. Alyssa Thomas controversy during the latest episode of her "Show Me Podcast" with ex-reality TV star West Wilson.

Cunningham, who is in Year 2 with the Indiana Fever, made it clear that "everyone" in the league is not a fan of the Phoenix Mercury. Cunningham stood up for Clark and came at the Mercury, who trolled the Fever star following the incident with Thomas, during the podcast appearance.

"I know people in their own organization — no one likes their team this year. They say that they're the unfriendliest group," Cunningham said. "So we're not the only ones who feel that way. Internal people feel that way too."

The point of having a podcast is to give honest, unfiltered thoughts like that. However, not everyone loves what was said during the podcast.

A WNBA journalist is accusing Cunningham of making "highly unprofessional" comments on the show.

Cunningham ripped for 'unprofessional' behavior

Cunningham is being ripped for her comments.

USA TODAY WNBA reporter Meaghan L. Hall sounded off on Cunningham and what she said.

"Goodness gracious. I — 1) This is wildly unprofessional," Hall began in an X post.

"2) How is this helping with the points at everything current discourse? 3) There is not any scenario that exists where a player should be saying this about any organization."

WNBA fans, meanwhile, seem to be in agreement with Cunningham.

"Tell Sheryl Swoopes. She claimed it throughout 2024 about the Fever. Tell Linn Dunn and Stephanie White’s buddy. He was claiming the Fever office doesn’t like a specific player! That’s even worse. Sophie is fighting fire with fire. And I’m Team Sophie!" one fan added.

"The same organization who unprofessionally put out a graphic mocking Caitlin getting a hand to throat," another fan wrote.

Cunningham isn't likely to change, that's for sure.
