The Indiana Fever have had a big offseason, and it continued on Friday as WNBA free agency begins.

After firing head coach Christie Sides, the Fever hired Stephanie White as their next head coach, bringing the 2023 WNBA Coach of the Year from Connecticut back to the Fever for a second stint.

Next, they resigned All-Star guard Kelsey Mitchell, officially keeping the trio of Caitlin Clark, Aliyah Boston and Mitchell together. On Friday, news broke that the Fever are expected to sign two-time All-Star forward Natasha Howard.

But Indiana wasn't done. They also agreed to a three-team trade to acquire guard Sophie Cunningham from the Phoenix Mercury.

In response to the news, Cunningham's sister, Lindsey, made a story on Instagram, tagging both Clark and her sister. She used a photo of the two at the WNBA All-Star Game. Sophie reposted it to her own story.

"@sophie_cham @caitlinclark22," Lindsey Cunningham wrote.

The full three-team trade is as follows:

Satou Sabally, Kalani Brown and Sevgi Uzun head to Phoenix from the Dallas Wings. In return, Dallas receives Ty Harris, NaLyssa Smith, the rights to Kiki Herbert Harrigan and the No. 8 pick in the 2025 WNBA draft from Indiana. Finally, the Fever got Cunningham and the No. 19 overall pick from the Mercury.

Cunningham proved to be a solid piece for Phoenix in 2024, averaging 8.4 points, 3.9 rebounds and 2.0 assists per game. Her 41.0% potential on 3-point attempts could prove a lethal combination for the Fever alongside Clark's playmaking.

Now, the Fever have a solid shooting threat and a solid post presence in Howard to go alongside the returning cast. Coach White certainly has a lot of good things to work with next season.
