It has been an eventful WNBA offseason for Sophie Cunningham. The 6-foot-1 guard has kept herself busy with her endeavors both within and outside basketball. This includes hosting her weekly podcast, attending to endorsement contracts and, of course, spending some quality time with her family.
Cunningham is coming off a memorable first season with the Indiana Fever. In 30 games played throughout the campaign, the veteran averaged 8.6 points, 3.5 rebounds, 1.2 assists, 1.0 steals and 1.7 triples in 25.2 minutes per contest. The former Missouri Tigers star proved to be a key addition for Indiana, and the team is hoping to get her back in 2026.
Unfortunately for Cunningham, her 2025 season came to an end due to injury. She tore the MCL in her right knee, which required immediate surgery. Cunningham has since been working hard to get herself ready for the upcoming WNBA season.
Cunningham recently took some time for herself amid her busy offseason. She decided to take a quick beach vacation to get some much-needed fun under the sun. The Columbia, Missouri, native took to social media to share some photos.
“workouts done by 8am straight to bikinis, coconut oil, and UV 11 before noon? YEP YES YASSSS☀️” she captioned her Instagram post.
Cunningham’s new swimsuit photos caused quite a stir among the fans.
“you perfect human,” a comment on Instagram read.

“Love u lots sophie plz wear sunscreen ” suggested a supporter.
“I'm glad you got to relax during your hectic training I'm glad for you you deserve it” a reaction read.

“You look like always awesome sofie but You Will look stunning playing basket with CC in fever again,” a fan wrote.
Cunningham is currently an unrestricted free agent following her one-year deal with the Fever. She is free to explore other options with opposing teams, but both Cunningham and the Fever have already indicated interest in extending her deal for 2026 and potentially beyond.
