Stephanie White Bracing for Punishment After Technical in Fever's 27-Point Win

It wasn't all sunshine and rainbows for Indiana Fever coach Stephanie White during the team's blowout win over the Las Vegas Aces on Thursday.

Although the team was able to put together an impressive 81-54 win without WNBA All-Star captain Caitlin Clark, White still found herself irritated with the officiating. There was a pause in the game with 4:44 remaining in the third quarter, during which she expressed her frustration to Clark, and it carried over from there.

With Indiana leading by around 20 points in the fourth quarter, White screamed at an official during one of the team's offensive possessions. The official had clearly had enough, hitting White with a technical, which Clark clearly loved

However, when speaking to the media after the game, White made it clear that she went after the official to make a point. She also alluded to the fact that she is expecting to be fined by the WNBA, but revealed that Clark plans to cover it with her bonus money from the team's WNBA Commissioner Cup Championship win.

"I don't know about frustrations boiling over," White said. "As more to just like making a point. Caitlin (Clark) said she got me though... She just got a bonus."

As reported by the Indy Star, Fever players were eligible to receive up to $30,000 from a $500,000 prize pool. Left out of the prize pool was White, who jokingly asked players to give her a cut during their celebration.

If White were to be fined by the WNBA, it wouldn't be the first time this season. She was on the receiving end of a fine in May after criticizing officials in the team's loss to the New York Liberty.

However, with Clark willing to add it to her tab of covering fines for others on her team, White may go after officials a bit more this season until they turn things around.
