It was reported before Wednesday's game between the Indiana Fever and the Washington Mystics that Caitlin Clark was asked to sit near the coaches on the bench during the contest.
Head coach Stephanie White said before the game that this decision was made in order to give Clark "an opportunity to look at it a little bit more from a coach's perspective."
Clark, however, may have gotten a little too enthusiastic about her honorary role in the team's coaching staff.
In a video that has been making its rounds on social media, the reigning WNBA Rookie of the Year is sitting on the bench before the Mystics game. White, however, asked Clark to move after the 23-year-old decided to take the head coach's seat on the bench.

Clark quickly got up and moved a few seats down. White then occupied the seat that Clark was initially sitting in.
White wanted Clark to get a first-hand look at how the coaches operate during games, but she had no intention of giving up her seat as the team's head coach to her All-Star guard.
Unfortunately for the Fever, they ended up losing their first game without Clark on the floor. The Mystics marked their third win of the campaign with an 83-77 home victory.
This was Indiana's second straight loss following their 90-88 defeat against the defending champions, the New York Liberty, on Saturday. The Fever fell to 2-3 after Wednesday's loss.
They will return to action on Friday against the 0-5 Connecticut Sun. The Fever get to play at home for that one, too, as they host the winless Sun at Gainbridge Fieldhouse.
