The Indiana Fever have been riding high, despite the absence of Caitlin Clark.
Clark has missed four straight games for Indiana, but the Fever were recently able to pick up a win over the Las Vegas Aces, blowing out their opponent, 81-54.
The Fever are now back in the win column, continuously climbing up the league standings. Indiana is looking to make the postseason with first-year head coach Stephanie White. As she continues to shape the roster, White has already instilled a clear sense of identity and direction for Indiana’s squad.
After the blowout over the Aces, White explained that defense is a priority for the Fever, which they clearly exemplified at an elite level against Las Vegas.
"Great [expletive] job," White said." Great [expletive] job… I hope you sense, you see and you feel, when we play that kind of defense the difference it makes. Defense travels, defense wins games, defense wins championships."
“I hope that you can sense, you see, and you feel when we play that kind of defense the difference that it makes.”

The Indiana Fever held the Las Vegas Aces to 26% from the field, according to their post attached.
Aces star A'ja Wilson led the way for Las Vegas with 29 points, three rebounds and one assist. While Wilson had a tremendous game against the Fever, their second leading scorer was Jackie Young, who finished the game with six points.
While the Indiana Fever had a great game, they're still missing the biggest key to the puzzle.
Caitlin Clark will have an opportunity to return to game action when the Indiana Fever face the Los Angeles Sparks on Saturday. They're set to play five straight games, including the blowout win over the Las Vegas Aces.
