LAS VEGAS—The Las Vegas Aces continue to show why they are the hottest team in the WNBA.

On Sunday, the Aces collected their seventh straight win and ninth in their last ten games, rolling over the Dallas Wings 106-87 at Michelob ULTRA Arena.

The Aces continue to fly up the standings, improving to 21-14 and currently sitting in a top-four seed for the playoffs. The Wings continue to struggle this season, falling to 9-26 for the year.

Here are the three takeaways from another dominant outing by the Aces during this run.

Dangerous from deep

Early on, the three-point shot proved to be the most devastating weapon in the Aces’ arsenal.

Kierstan Bell was the most prolific three-point shooter for the Aces, landing six of her seven attempts for 18 points. Jewell Loyd landed four three-point shots, while Jackie Young and NaLyssa Smith hit two shots from behind the arc each. The Aces’ efficiency from three was a deciding factor in the game, with the team as a whole going 14-for-29 on three-point shots.

Stars taking over

Bell was not alone in her contribution to the offense, as many of the Aces had stretches of time where their best players took over the game.

A’ja Wilson was all over the court, moving to ninth on the all-time blocks list with three rejections on top of 34 points and seven rebounds. It is the third time in four games that Wilson has hit the 30-point mark. Chelsea Gray also proved why she remains one of the best point guards in the WNBA, notching 10 points and 13 assists to record the double-double.

Clipping the Wings

Towards the end of the third quarter, the Wings were beginning to find a rhythm offensively.

Needing some clutch plays to get the momentum back in their favor, the Aces turned to Loyd to get the offense back up and running. The shooting guard delivered, sinking two three-point shots to close out the quarter. Cutting the Wings’ momentum off allowed the Aces to remain locked in for the fourth quarter, leaving no doubt about who the better team was.
