Troubling Chicago Sky Statistic Surfaces After Loss to Los Angeles Sparks

Throughout the early stages of the 2025 WNBA season, the Chicago Sky have spent plenty of time in the spotlight. The majority of the chatter surrounds Angel Reese's perceived rivalry with Indiana Fever, superstar Caitlin Clark.

While the two have garnered a lot of attention this season, both of their teams have struggled.

Despite Reese's strong play, posting two double-doubles through her first three games, the Sky, are still in search of their first win of the season.

The Sky fell to the Los Angeles Sparks on Sunday, 91-78.

While this is a new-look version of the Sky, with the additions of Courtney Vandersloot and Kia Nurse, among others, the Sky's losing streak actually extends into last season.

The Sky haven't won a basketball game in 259 days. Their last win came against the Dallas Wings, on Sept. 8, 2024.

The Sky's franchise losing streak is now set at eight games. The team they beat last September, the Wings, is actually the only team with a longer losing streak than the Sky.

The Wings have lost 13 consecutive games, dating back to their Aug. 30, 2024 win over the Minnesota Lynx.

While the Sky continue searching for a victory, it hasn't been all bad. Reese, who posted 13 points, 12 rebounds, and four assists, secured double-double No. 28 of her young career.

The Sky (0-3), Wings (0-4), and Connecticut Sun (0-4) remain the only winless teams in the WNBA.

The Sky will look to get in the win column in their next game against the Phoenix Mercury on the road on Tuesday at 10:00 p.m. EDT.
