Don't expect to see WNBA star Kelsey Plum sporting any Under Armour gear this upcoming season.
Plum started this April with a bang, landing a one-year, $999,999 with the Los Angeles Sparks. ESPN's Shams Charania reported that Plum was in line for a $1.4 million supermax, but she wanted to give the Sparks a discount so they could have "financial flexibility to build a title-contending roster."
A little over a week after Plum agreed to this contract with the Sparks, it was revealed that her sponsorship deal with Under Armour came to an end.
"We appreciate the partnership we've had with Kelsey and everything she's contributed," Under Armour said in a statement. "As we sharpen our focus and build for what's next, we're moving in different directions. We wish her the best."
For what it's worth, Plum's deal with Under Armour was set to expire this year.
Golden State Warriors star Steph Curry and Under Armour shocked the NBA community last fall when they announced their partnership was coming to an end.
"Under Armour believed in me early in my career and gave me the space to build something much bigger and more impactful than a shoe. I'll always be grateful for that," Curry said in November 2025. "What Curry Brand stands for, what I stand for and my commitment to that mission will never change. It's only growing stronger. I'm excited for a future that's focused on aggressive growth with a continued commitment to keep showing up for the next generation."
Now that Plum is gone as well, Under Armour must go back to the drawing board and figure out how it wants to revamp its basketball division.
