Angel Reese has been a star for Unrivaled's Rose alongside Chelsea Gray and Brittney Sykes. The 22-year-old is the league's rebounding champion (12.1 per game) and Defensive Player of the Year.

Reese is also averaging a double-double, as she's scoring 13.1 points a night. The 2024 WNBA All-Star has recorded three straight double-doubles and eight overall. She's a big reason why the Rose (8-6) will face the Laces (7-7) in the Unrivaled Semifinals on Sunday night.

However, the team must now rely on its depth. Unfortunate injury news was announced on Saturday after Reese appeared to re-injure her same wrist that sidelined her to end her WNBA rookie season.

Reese won't play on Sunday, via ESPN's Kendra Andrews.

"Angel Reese is OUT of tomorrow’s semifinals game due to a hand injury she sustained in the final game of the regular season, per Unrivaled," she reported. "She could be seen grabbing at her left wrist in the third quarter before exiting the game — the same wrist she had surgery on in September."

In addition to Sykes and Gray, the Rose will need Lexie Hull, Azura Stevens, and Ariel Atkins to step up. Kahleah Copper (leg) hasn't played since Feb. 7.

Reese is going into her second season with the Chicago Sky after leading the WNBA with 13.1 rebounds per game as a rookie. The Maryland native also received All-Rookie honors.

Reese was drafted No. 7 overall by the Sky in 2024 after receiving SEC Player of the Year honors with LSU the same year. The 6-foot-3-inch forward also won the 2023 NCAA Tournament with the Tigers and won the competition's Most Outstanding Player award.
