'USA Basketball Is Going to Run the Table': Candace Parker Makes Confident Claim After Win vs. Senegal

Team USA kicked off the FIBA qualifying showdown in the best way possible, and Candace Parker has some big feelings about it.

In Puerto Rico, the star-studded roster showed its magic on the hardwood. Clinching a 110-46 victory over Senegal, Team USA announced a strong start in the first game. But before that, Parker made a big prediction in the March 11 episode of her Post Moves podcast with Aliyah Boston.

“The USA Women’s national team are making their 2026 debut at the FIBA Women’s World Cup qualifying tournament in San Juan, Puerto Rico”, said Parker. “I think USA Basketball is going to run the table, obviously”.

Parker also read out the roster that included names like Paige Bueckers, Caitlin Clark, Kahleah Copper, Kelsey Plum, Angel Reese, Rhyne Howard, Chelsea Gray, and more. While on the court, Howard led the team with 21 points, 5 rebounds, and 2 assists, while Clark led in efficiency, adding 17 points and 12 assists.

So, having a 64-point win for a team like that is not really a shocker. However, Parker hinted that the scoreboard could’ve looked even more decorated if some of the other big names were there.

Candace Parker and Aliyah Boston Name Their Chosen Players Missing From Team USA

By March 1, Boston had to opt out of the Unrivaled league due to a right lower extremity injury. Initially, she was in the Team USA roster as well, but by March 5, she had to withdraw, and Parker agreed that this was a “huge bummer”.

“Obviously, huge bummer that you’re not there”, she said. To which Boston replied, “I’m so sad I’m not in Puerto Rico. I hope you know, I bought bathing suits and everything. So, that’s unfortunate.”

The ladies also discussed how the scoreboard looks already “crazy,” despite missing Napheesa Collier, A’ja Wilson, and Breanna Stewart. While Stewie and Phee are in the final roster, Wilson hasn’t been officially included yet.

“That’s crazy because that’s really how it is”, said Boston. “And that’s missing Napheesa Collier, you (Boston), Breanna Stewart, A’Ja (Wilson)”, added Parker.

The current roster is as decorated as it could get, and they’ve already started to dominate the paint.

Before the USA takes on Puerto Rico on their home ground on March 13, what are your predictions?
