Most opponents focus on stopping rookie guard Caitlin Clark when facing the Indiana Fever, but they shouldn't forget about Kelsey Mitchell.
On Sunday against the Chicago Sky, Mitchell scored 10 points in the first quarter on 3-of-7 shooting. She nailed an impressive 25-foot three-pointer near the top of the key. The Fever trailed 28-26 at the end of the first quarter but came back to grab a 46-45 lead at halftime.

After a rocky start to the season, the Fever (7-10) are starting to build some momentum. They have won four consecutive games and moved into fourth in the Eastern Conference. Mitchell has raised her game during this streak.
Over the past four games, the second overall pick of the 2018 WNBA Draft has averaged 20.3 points per game on 57.8% shooting from beyond the arc.
If Mitchell stays in the groove, she and Clark could form one of the most potent backcourts in the WNBA. More importantly, it will prevent double-teams on Clark, which could lead to better ball movement and create more scoring opportunities for the Fever.
