'We Got Lucky': Angel Reese Takes Subtle Jab At Cameron Brink, Saying Sparks Should’ve Picked Kamilla Cardoso Instead

“(LA Sparks) didn’t pick her at No. 2. We got lucky,” Angel Reese told reporters.

In a slight jab at their latest victim, Angel Reese didn’t hold back on giving shade while giving praise to her teammate, Kamilla Cardoso, after the latter hit her best performance last Tuesday night. Cardoso hit her career-high points in a game by getting 27 against the team from the West Coast.

97-86 was the score at the end of the game. And the Sky was the limit for Chicago as Los Angeles never got their Spark. And while Angel Reese was elated for her teammate, she didn’t do badly herself. She’s picked up her 8th double‑double of the season with 18 points, 17 rebounds, and 6 assists.

With Angel Reese on playmaking and Cardoso on the scoring, the Chicago Sky squad is turning up the heat. Intelligent plays, pinpoint passes, and a knack for reading the court add to this weapon that the blue and gold is looking to use often.

Chicago Sky is still far from where they want to be once the postseason comes, but it’ll be up to Angel Reese, along with Cardoso and the rest of the gang to shape up, grind more, and turn up the heat on this WNBA season.

Hope is not all lost. Surprises still happen in the world of sports. For Chicago, the Sky is the limit!

Angel Reese wants Kamilla Cardoso up for an All-Star selection

With much love and respect for her fellow Chicago Sky player, Angel Reese has been advocating for the inclusion of Kamilla Cardoso in the All-stars.

“Kamilla should be up for All-Star this year in her first year,” Reese said. “Her, me, Ariel. We all should be in the All-Star.”

Given that the struggling Chicago Sky can only count on both Angel Reese’s passing and also on Cardoso’s scoring. If both these ladies can carry the rest of the team beyond their current position, then that could still be much more of a reality than mere wishing.

Angel Reese is currently at 13 points, 12.2 rebounds, 5.6 assists, 2.4 steals, and a block per game in her last 5 games. Perhaps something awoke inside her that brought out those numbers.

Top 10 all-stars might still be a hit or miss for both Angel Reese and Kamilla Cardoso, but at the very least, the Bayou Barbie is making a strong case to give everyone some thought.

Pace. Playmaking. And Hustle. Those qualities that we know Angel Reese exhibits makes her a prime candidate for it.
