The Chicago Sky entered Sunday’s matchup against the Los Angeles Sparks with a 4–11 record, sitting fifth in the Eastern Conference standings.
For the second time in three games, the Sky came out on top against the Sparks, earning their fifth win of the WNBA season—thanks to a dominant performance from rising star Angel Reese.
Reese stuffed the stat sheet with 24 points, 16 rebounds, seven assists, and two blocks while shooting 10-of-19 from the field. Ariel Atkins added 20 points to help secure the 92–85 victory.
Following the win, the WNBA announced major news regarding Reese, who made history in multiple ways. Not only did she break into the top 10 in total rebounds in Sky franchise history, but she also became the first player in league history to record four consecutive games with 15 or more rebounds.
"ANGEL REESE MAKES WNBA HISTORY, AGAIN," the league posted. "Her 4th consecutive 15+ rebound game extends an incredible legacy!"
