Angel Reese received a notable victory off the WNBA court on Monday night.

For the third straight time, Reese won the BET Award for Sportswoman of the Year. The Chicago Sky star beat out a loaded field including reigning Olympic gold medalists Simone Biles and Sha'Carri Richardson, reigning WNBA MVP A'ja Wilson, and former LSU teammate Flau'jae Johnson.

The WNBA celebrated Reese's honor on social media.

"Congrats Angel Reese for winning Sportswoman of the Year for the third time," the WNBA said Tuesday morning.

The Sky showed a bit more enthusiasm in their celebratory post.

"YOUR BET SPORTSWOMAN OF THE YEAR," the Sky wrote, giving Reese her flowers with a bouquet emoji. "Keeping [sic] shining Angel."

Yahoo Sports noted that Reese joined Serena Williams as the only woman to win the BET award three times. Jalen Hurts beat out LeBron James, Stephen Curry, and Philadelphia Eagles teammate Saquon Barkley, among others, to win the men's category.

After leaving college with a national championship, Reese joined the Sky as the 2024 Draft's No. 7 pick. As a rookie, the All-Star averaged a league-leading 13.1 rebounds per game.

Reese, who received an All-Star nod, set a WNBA record with 15 consecutive double-doubles. She grabbed double-digit boards in each of her final 29 games before a wrist injury ended her 2024 season.

During the WNBA offseason, Reese led the Unrivaled three-on-three league in rebounding. Her Rose BC squad won the inaugural title.

Reese has registered a WNBA-high 12.3 rebounds per game to start the 2025 season. Yet the 23-year-old is struggling offensively, scoring 9.1 points per game on a 30.9 field-goal percentage.

Chicago followed a 0-4 start with back-to-back wins over the Dallas Wings before losing 79-52 to the Indiana Fever on Saturday. The Sky will look to hand the New York Liberty their first loss of the season in a Tuesday road game airing on ESPN at 8 p.m. ET.
