Caitlin Clark and the Indiana Fever are battling for a second straight WNBA playoffs appearance, sitting at 20-18 and sixth in the league standings ahead of their three-game road trip. Despite another playoff-caliber year, Clark has missed a majority of this season's games due to numerous injuries. And former Los Angeles Sparks star Lisa Leslie believes the Fever should shut down Clark’s season to avoid risking her future.

Still, amid Clark's absence, the former Iowa guard shared a new update this week that caught Leslie's attention.

Leslie Reacts to Clark's Post

Before her rookie season began in 2024, Clark signed an eight-year, $28 million contract with Nike, which included a signature shoe. And, after nearly two WNBA seasons, Clark finally unveiled her new Nike logo.

During Tuesday's win over the Seattle Storm, the Fever's Gainbridge Fieldhouse was decked out in Clark's new logo. The All-WNBA point guard also arrived at the game in her new Nike gear, which she showed off in a social media post.

"the beginning of a lot of amazing things to come," Clark captioned her Instagram post, which included multiple photos of her outfit.

On Thursday, one day after Clark made the post, Leslie finally got a look at the new attire, sharing her reaction in the comment section.

"CC fits and the @nike fam," Leslie wrote.

Clark and the Nike Family

With the new logo, Clark now joins an exclusive WNBA family, becoming just the fifth active player to get their own logo. She joins:

  • Angel Reese - Chicago Sky - Adidas
  • Sabrina Ionescu - New York Liberty - Nike
  • A'ja Wilson - Las Vegas Aces - Nike
  • Breanna Stewart - New York Liberty - Puma

Like Clark, Leslie was also a Nike athlete during her basketball career, becoming the second WNBA star to sign with the company, following Sheryl Swoopes. Although she never received her own logo, she did have a signature shoe, the Nike Total Air 9, released in 1998. At $140, it was the most expensive women’s signature shoe of the 1990s.
