Alyssa Thomas has taken over the league in her first season with the Phoenix Mercury. She's gotten the hang of playing with her teammates, and she has absorbed Nate Tibbetts' system. On Tuesday, Thomas led the Mercury to a 92-84 victory over the Los Angeles Clippers by dropping her seventh triple-double of the year.

Thomas had 12 points, 16 rebounds and 15 assists. She was also active on the defensive end, snatching three steals in the night. Her co-star, Satou Sabally, also had a great game against LA. The three-time All-Star had 19 points and three rebounds on 50% shooting from deep.

It's her second-straight triple-double, after dropping 13, 12 and 16 against the Golden State Valkyries on Friday.

Alyssa Thomas Set a Lot Of Records on Tuesday

According to the WNBA, Thomas' stat line was historic for the league. The six-time All-Star is the only player to have at least 10 points, 15 rebounds and 15 assists. She's also set a record for the most triple-doubles in a single season, with seven.

On Tuesday, the WNBA listed Thomas's remarkable accomplishments.

"Alyssa Thomas did it all in a historic performance leading the @PhoenixMercury to a win over the Sparks 92-84 ⭐️" the WNBA posted on X.

"✔️ Made WNBA history as the only player to record at least 10 points, 15 assists and 15 rebounds in a single game
✔️ Recorded her seventh triple-double of the season—the most in a single season in her career—bringing her total to 18 all-time
✔️ Achieved her 6th game with 15+ AST, trailing Courtney Vandersloot (7) for most such games all-time.
✔️ Accounted for 16 of the teams 32 REB, and 15 of the teams 28 AST"

What makes Thomas' performance even more impressive is that she was still battling an illness. But fans witnessed that the Mercury forward will still push through to help her team win.

The next game for Phoenix will be on Thursday against the Chicago Sky.
