Caitlin Clark returned with a bang, getting the new WNBA season off to a hot start as she guided the Indiana Fever to a dominant win over Angel Reese and the Chicago Sky.
The 23-year-old finished with a triple-double of 20 points, 10 rebounds and 10 assists to help Indiana take down Chicago, 93-58. Clark shot 46.2 percent from the field and also stepped up defensively, tallying two steals and four blocks in the 35-point blowout.
Clark made history in the process, as she tied Candace Parker for the third-most triple-doubles in WNBA history with three. The Fever star had two such stat lines in her first year, even becoming the first rookie to have a triple-double.
Following her sensational display on Saturday, the WNBA quickly took to social media to heap praise on her.
"What an opening day for Caitlin Clark," the WNBA wrote, along with a video of the Fever playmaker notching her 10th rebound of the game for the triple-double.

For what it's worth, it's not only the WNBA that was left in awe by Caitlin Clark's historic performance.
Los Angeles Lakers star LeBron James, who cheered on Clark before the showdown with the Sky, was also quick to react after witnessing her triple-double.
"TRIPLE DUB CC!! Great way to kick off the season!" James wrote on X.
Clark and the Fever will have a couple of days' rest before returning to action against the Atlanta Dream on Tuesday. Sure enough, plenty of eyes will be on the All-Star guard to see if she'll be able to maintain her hot start.
Another triple-double will put Clark in a tie with Sabrina Ionescu for the second-most in WNBA history.
