The Las Vegas Aces won their third championship in the 2025 WNBA Season, sweeping the Phoenix Mercury in the Finals behind A'ja Wilson. The star center averaged 28.5 points, 11.8 rebounds, 4.0 assists, 1.0 steal and 2.0 blocks in the series.
Wilson, who averaged 23.4 points, 10.2 rebounds, 3.1 assists, 1.6 steals and 2.3 blocks in 40 games during the regular season, also won her fourth regular-season MVP award. She's the only WNBA player ever to win MVP four times.
The 29-year-old superstar also claimed the Defensive Player of the Year award, while also earning All-WNBA First Team and All-Defensive First Team honors.
Amid the WNBA offseason, though, Wilson continues to make headlines. On Wednesday, it was revealed that the Aces star is part of the upcoming animated movie titled "GOAT."
Wilson is one of the voice actors in the upcoming 2026 film, playing the role of a crocodile named Kouyate. The film's official Instagram account shared a post about Wilson's role and her character's appearance.
The WNBA, for its part, expressed excitement for Wilson and the movie.
"getting our popcorn ready," the WNBA wrote in the comment section of the post.
According to IMDb, "GOAT" follows the journey of a small goat that gets a shot to play professional "roarball," a fictitious game that draws inspiration from basketball.
Aside from Wilson, Chicago Sky star Angel Reese is also part of the cast, playing the role of a polar bear named Propp. Golden State Warriors guard Steph Curry is a producer on the movie.
