The Indiana Fever were without their All-WNBA point guard, Caitlin Clark, for a second-straight game, taking on Paige Bueckers and the Dallas Wings on Friday night at American Airlines Center.
Fans were looking forward to the first Bueckers vs. Clark matchup in the WNBA, but the former Iowa guard suffered a groin injury in Tuesday's win, missing the Fever's previous two games.
Even with Clark out, the Fever got off to a hot start, taking a 56–40 lead with under 10 seconds remaining in the first half and possession of the ball. However, Bueckers intercepted a bad pass from Lexie Hull and sprinted down the court.
With just over one second left, Bueckers launched a 31-foot running 3-pointer "from the logo" and watched it fall as the buzzer sounded, cutting the Fever’s lead to 13.
The WNBA reacted to the highlight on social media, showing a different angle of it.
"Secures the steal," the WNBA wrote on X. "Pulls up from the logo. CASH! PAIGE BUECKERS IS TOUGH DAL cuts the deficit to 13 before halftime!"

WNBA fans were also impressed with Bueckers' buzzer-beater.
"aura," one fan said.
"Paige Buckets and CC match ups need more hype Too bad CC ain't playing," added another.
"Totally not an exciting player At least she can make a basket," a third joked.
"That’s the kind of shot that swings momentum. It’s been all Fever so far. Hopefully they can hold the line in the 2nd half," claimed a fourth.
"Great shot by Paige but such bad decision making from Lexie to give up the ball right there," added a fifth.
"paigebueckers ," wrote a sixth.
Bueckers and the Wings have struggled to begin the season, falling to 4-12 through the first 16 games. Yet they found themselves winning three of their last four games upon Bueckers' return from an injury/illness.
