The Indiana Fever entered Thursday's contest against the Las Vegas Aces riding the high of winning their first-ever WNBA Commissioner's Cup championship just days earlier.
That high was only further elevated with a dominant 81-54 victory over the Aces, led by guard Kelsey Mitchell with 25 points, six assists and two steals in just 29 minutes.
Indiana has now won three of its past four matchups, all of which have been without Caitlin Clark.
Yet, Thursday's victory came with added cause for celebration as Indiana broke a 16-game losing streak to Las Vegas, having not won a game against the Aces since 2019.
With the win, Indiana now moves to 9-8 on the season and breaks one of the WNBA's longest losing streaks.

Indiana raced out to a 6-0 lead and was at one point up by double digits just over the halfway point in the first quarter.
Yet by the second quarter, the game was already out of reach, as the Fever outscored Las Vegas 25-10 to go up by 22 at halftime, carrying that lead through the remainder of the night.
Aside from Mitchell, Aliyah Boston chipped in 20 points to go along with seven rebounds and two assists, while veteran Natasha Howard secured an 11-point, 10-rebound double-double.
While reigning MVP A'ja Wilson led all scorers with 29 points, Las Vegas as a whole managed just seven points in the fourth quarter and shot 26.2% from the field (16‑of‑61) and 18.8% from deep (3‑of‑16).
The Fever will now host four consecutive home games against the Los Angeles Sparks, Golden State Valkyries, Atlanta Dream and Dallas Wings.
