Kelsey Plum made sure her fans were looking the part in a playful exchange ahead of this past weekend's game vs. the Chicago Sky.
While warming up at crypto.com Arena, the Sparks star spotted a woman sitting courtside with a Caitlin Clark shirt on— and she promptly brought her some LA gear to change into.
"You can't be wearing that in the gym," the three-time All-Star said. "... Next time, do better."
Fans reacted to Plum's viral call out on social media.
"The hate CC gets is corny…" Ro Parrish replied.
"Kelsey used to be cool," another commented.
"It's not jealousy it's sports . You never seen a player sign the opposite jersey . You ask for a picture or want autograph rep us then," a fan pointed out.
"Caitlins just there to hoop… causes no drama… no negativity… nothing. The Hate is sooooo forced," another person said.
"This isn't that crazy, that's like wearing a LeBron jersey courtside to Knicks vs Bulls."
"If I'm paying I can wear what I want to the game tf she on?!" another user exclaimed.
"If you ever been on a sports team you know there's nothing wrong with this at all," another fan admitted.
"I like that Plum is causing some noise. Take advantage of all the eyes on the league for once. She's a baller @kelseyplum10."
Unfortunately Plum's courtside defense wasn't enough to lead the Sparks to a win, although she did finish with 24 points in the 92-85 defeat.
LA was fresh off of a win over Clark's Fever a few nights before, so you could see why she'd want her fans in Los Angeles' colors in their return to their home floor. The Sparks and Fever meet again July 5 in Indiana on NBA TV.
