The Connecticut Sun have been a perennial playoff team in the WNBA, reaching the postseason in each of the past eight seasons.

The Sun are coming off a 28-12 season that ended with a disappointing loss to the Minnesota Lynx in the WNBA semifinals. Following the 2024 campaign, the team has undergone almost a complete overhaul.

The organization parted ways with head coach Stephanie White, who is now leading Caitlin Clark and the Indiana Fever into the 2025 season. And The roster has been almost completely turned over with 13 of the 15 players who saw action last season now gone.

The latest is forward Caitlin Bickle, a Baylor graduate who saw limited action with Connecticut in 2024. Bickle and rookie center Kamila Borkowska were waived on Wednesday, the team announced on X.

This latest move comes on the heels of a chaotic offseason in which the team lost all five starters from the 2024 roster, something that has never happened in WNBA history. Moreover, this turnover represents 88.9% of the team's playing time, a unit that has won 25 or more games each of the last four seasons.

The Sun watched major contributors like Alyssa Thomas (Phoenix Mercury), DeWanna Bonner (Indiana Fever), Brionna Jones (Atlanta Dream), DiJonai Carrington (Dallas Wings) and Tyasha Harris (Wings).

To counter, the 2022 finalists have welcomed veteran stars Tina Charles and Natasha Cloud and rookie hopefuls Aneesah Morrow, the No. 7 overall pick in April's draft, and Saniya Rivers to retool the roster.

Morrow averaged 18.7 points and a nation-best 13.5 rebounds last season with the LSU Tigers.

With new head coach Rachid Meziane at the helm, the Sun are concentrating on building a team that combines veteran leadership with the energy of younger players.

The Sun will host the Washington Mystics to open the regular season at 1 p.m. ET on May 18.
