WNBA's Two-Word Reaction to Big Angel Reese News

Chicago Sky forward Angel Reese has firmly established herself as one of the top stars in the WNBA today. The release of her own signature Reebok shoe underscores her rising profile.

Fans of the 23-year-old were met with some exciting news on Thursday after the release date of the much-awaited "Angel Reese 1: Diamond Dust" was announced. In a post on social media, Reebok revealed that the highly anticipated pair will be available on September 18.

“The Angel Reese 1: Diamond Dust. Made for the spotlight. Available on 9/18,” Reebok posted on Instagram on Thursday.

The announcement quickly drew all sorts of reactions from social media. This included the WNBA, which used just two words to show its support for Reese.

“Calendar’s marked ” the league commented.

Much like the WNBA, fans will also be looking forward to September 18 to get their hands on Reese’s first-ever signature shoe. According to Reebok, it will be available for sale via their website as well as select third-party retailers for $120.

Angel Reese Still on the Mend

Reese has been dealing with a lingering back injury that has now cost her six straight games on the shelf. The former LSU star has already been ruled out for Friday’s matchup against the Golden State Valkyries and currently has no timetable for her return.

It is worth noting that the Sky have virtually been eliminated from playoff contention already, which could be a reason why Chicago appears to be in no rush to bring back the two-time All-Star.
