Kelsey Mitchell joined the Indiana Fever after being selected as the second overall pick in the 2018 WNBA Draft. Since her arrival, she has become a cornerstone of the franchise, leading the team in scoring for multiple seasons and earning WNBA All-Star honors in 2023 and 2024.
Mitchell recently re-signed with the Fever for her eighth season, solidifying her role as a veteran leader alongside Caitlin Clark and Aliyah Boston. She is coming off a career-best 2024 season, where she averaged 19.2 points per game, helping the Fever return to the WNBA playoffs for the first time since 2016.
Despite suffering a fractured finger while playing in China during the offseason, Mitchell remains focused on recovery and preparing for the 2025 WNBA season.
As for Caitlin Clark, she continues to set new records, as the Fever’s preseason game against the Brazil national team became one of the most viewed preseason games in history, only next to games played by Lebron James.
The Caitlin Clark Foundation, in partnership with Hy-Vee, has donated $300,802 to Feeding America, supporting food banks across the Midwest. The funds were raised through a round-up campaign held in March, where customers at Hy-Vee stores could donate at checkout to local Feeding America partner food banks. The donation will directly benefit 18 food banks, helping provide meals to families in need.
This initiative is part of Clark’s ongoing commitment to combating food insecurity, a cause she has supported since her college days at Iowa. In addition to the donation, Hy-Vee and the Caitlin Clark Foundation have collaborated on Clark’s signature cereal, with proceeds going toward her foundation’s charitable efforts.
Clark’s foundation focuses on education, nutrition, and sports, aiming to uplift communities through meaningful contributions.
With her growing influence as a WNBA star, Caitlin Clark continues to use her platform to make a difference beyond basketball. Her foundation’s latest donation reinforces her dedication to helping families in need, ensuring that food banks receive essential support.
