WWE Elimination Chamber 2026 is in the history books. Only four matches, including two massive chamber bouts, were scheduled for the PLE. Social media has been buzzing following the event, with a variety of contrasting opinions dominating the discussion.

Nonetheless, WWE promised an eventful and noteworthy show. Now, fans have much to talk about following the PLE. From title changes to surprise winners, here are four important takeaways from WWE Elimination Chamber 2026.

#4. AJ Lee is Here to Stay

CM Punk and AJ Lee had a special night at WWE Elimination Chamber, which was only expected as the show took place in Chicago. The former Divas Champion had a major Women’s Intercontinental Championship match against arch-rival Becky Lynch.

WWE could have easily extended the Lynch-Lee saga up til WrestleMania, but they chose to give Punk’s wife a feel-good moment in Chicago. By making the “Greatest Female Superstar of All Time” tap out to the Black Widow, Lee claimed the prestigious Women’s Intercontinental Championship.

The message is clear: AJ Lee is going nowhere. The trailblazer has won the workhorse championship, heralding management’s faith in Punk’s wife as a top star. As WrestleMania nears, we could expect Lee to make more appearances.

#3. The “Mystery Box” Angle Flopped

A mysterious wooden crate had wandered backstage on Raw and SmackDown for weeks. General Managers Adam Pearce and Nick Aldis decided to open the box at WWE Elimination Chamber. Given that it was Mania season, many fans were excited about the contents of the crate.

However, the eventual reveal received loud boos from the live crowd. Furthermore, the reaction on social media has been less than favorable. Former AEW star Danhausen was revealed as the mystery. Danhausen’s arrival has created a stir, but not in the way Triple H would have hoped.

Nonetheless, this is also a wake-up call for Triple H. Levesque and his creative team have heavily relied on mystery angles. When executed well, such angles can work wonders. Unfortunately, the mystery box angle backfired.

#2. The Men’s Elimination Chamber Was Proof of WWE’s Faith in Logan Paul

There was a time when Logan Paul was viewed as an outsider and a part-time celebrity attraction. However, over time, Paul proved himself to be a credible WWE Superstar. Triple H has had high praise for the Maverick, and if the Men’s Elimination Chamber was any indication, the WWE Hall of Famer has a ton of faith in Paul.

The former US Champion had a dominating performance in the Men’s Elimination Chamber. Paul scored the most eliminations with three, sending Je’Von Evans, Trick Williams, and LA Knight back into the locker room. Nonetheless, a surprise assault from a returning Seth “Freakin” Rollins caught Paul off guard and led to his elimination.

HHH clearly sees Paul as a top star. There were glimpses of his faith in the past, but his impressive performance inside the Chamber was a clear statement of management’s approval.

#1. Randy Orton is going to WrestleMania 42

Since returning at the WWE Survivor Series: WarGames 2023 PLE, Randy Orton’s booking has left many ardent WWE fans frustrated. The Viper has been left off PLEs and has failed to win big matches. Last year, after his match with Kevin Owens was called off, he had to settle for a less-than-spectacular match with Joe Hendry.

Given his recent string of losses, fans weren’t expecting a high-profile match at WrestleMania. However, Triple H pulled off a major twist. As expected, Drew McIntyre interfered in the Men’s Elimination Chamber match. His meddling led to Orton hitting Rhodes with the RKO for the win.

McIntyre will face Rhodes on SmackDown next week. The WWE Title scene is a mess right now, and we may not end up having a singles match at Mania. Nonetheless, Orton will certainly have a high-profile outing at The Show of Shows, finally.
