4 'WWE NXT' Stars Destined to Become World Champions

The "WWE NXT" roster continues to grow, which means more established stars are moving on to the main roster.

Former "NXT" titleholders Roxanne Perez and Giulia were recently placed on "WWE Raw" and "Friday Night SmackDown," respectively. It may not be much longer before other rising and international stars in WWE's developmental system get the call to join the main roster.

Some of "NXT's" stars of tomorrow even possess the qualities of future world champions. Winning a world title is no small feat in WWE, as it shows that the company believes in an on-air talent's ability to draw money and represent the promotion.

While many names on the "NXT" roster have the ability to break through in front of a larger audience, there are four names in particular that can make a strong world championship push in the future.

Stephanie Vaquer

Many fans throw around the word "aura" too loosely, but in the case of Stephanie Vaquer, it's justified. Vaquer caught the eye of WWE officials with her work in CMLL, as well as her marquee match against Mercedes Moné at "AEW Forbidden Door 2024." The popular star from Chile would soon sign a WWE deal, and it didn't take her long to capture two titles.

Vaquer is the current "WWE NXT" Women's Champion, and she's even a former women's North American titleholder. Vaquer was never defeated for the North American gold, as she vacated the title. "La Primera" has the look, charisma, and in-ring skills to become a major player on "Raw" or "SmackDown" for years to come.

Not only do I see Vaquer becoming a multi-time women's champion on the main roster, but I predict that WWE will hold a major PLE in Chile within the next few years, and it'll be heavily focused on Vaquer.

Oba Femi

In the modern era of wrestling, it's rare for a performer to speak with such conviction that the fans believe just about every word. Oba Femi is that rare talent. Femi is built like a comic book character and has the presence of a main event star.

The current "WWE NXT" Champion can move around the ring better than anyone his size. His promos also have the right intensity, clarity, and emotion to keep fans invested. Femi also doesn't have to be stuck in the role of a monster heel despite his size because he comes across as an intelligent character on TV, which is why he also plays an effective babyface.

There are some marquee matches in Femi's future with the likes of Bron Breakker and Jacob Fatu, both of whom can match his intensity. Of course, there's a slew of other big stars Femi could work well with once it's time for him to get the call.

Trick Williams

In recent months, Trick Williams has proven himself to be well-rounded no matter the direction he's given. Williams' popularity exploded during his alliance with Carmelo Hayes, who is currently on the "SmackDown" roster. With fans chanting "Whoop That Trick" throughout his entrance, Williams was slotted as the top babyface on "NXT."

Williams has developed a new attitude, however. The former two-time "NXT" titleholder quickly adapted to being a top heel for the brand. Williams plays the role to a tee and has developed solid chemistry with the likes of Je'Von Evans, Oba Femi, and TNA World Champion Joe Hendry.

Williams is set to challenge Hendry for the gold at "WWE Battleground." Regardless of the outcome, Williams should be making his way to the main roster soon, as I feel his recent heel run has proven he's done all he can on "NXT."

Jordynne Grace

This is another no-brainer pick for a current "NXT" roster member destined for a world title on WWE's main roster. Grace has the physique of a powerhouse, and while she does utilize her strength in the ring, her timing and movement are also on point. On the mic, Grace displays confidence, and it isn't difficult for her to get live crowds behind her.

Some were surprised that Grace wasn't sent to the main roster right away, but some time with the senior vice president of talent relations, Shawn Michaels, doesn't hurt anyone looking to eventually make their mark on the red and blue brands. Grace is a former three-time TNA Knockouts Champion, and many believe she carried the division all the way until the end of her run with TNA Wrestling.

Grace could end up sticking around in WWE's developmental system if the company feels it needs a big name to remain on "NXT." Still, Grace's run with a world championship in WWE appears to be an inevitability rather than a possibility.
