'A Pleasure' - TNA President Makes Major Hint Over The Hardy Boyz’ Futures

TNA President Carlos Silva has thanked The Hardy Boyz for being a part of the promotion ahead of their tables match against The Dudley Boyz at Bound For Glory tonight (October 12). Matt and Jeff Hardy's contract situation is of interest amid suggestions their deals will be up next month.

TNA Chief Sends Message To The Hardy Boyz

The Hardy Boyz will put their TNA World Tag Team Championships on the line against longtime rivals, The Dudley Boyz, at Tsongas Centre in Lowell, Massachusetts. It will be the final time fans get to see two of the greatest tag teams in pro wrestling compete against one another.

It may also be one of The Hardys' final appearances with TNA because Fightful Select reports that unless an agreement has been quietly struck, their contracts will expire next month. They re-signed with the company last year but it was believed they had penned new one-year extensions.

TNA President Silva has added fuel to the flames with a post on X, which could indicate they have signed new deal,s given the positive tone of the tweet:

"Thank you to Matt and Jeff for being part of the (TNA) team. Such a pleasure to work with you and look forward to many years of positive vibes together."

There is a positive vibe in TNA, which Matt Hardy alluded to in an exclusive interview with TheSportster ahead of Bound For Glory. He highlighted the mood backstage and the quality of management: "The roster that is currently in TNA, they're selfless. Everyone's working for the greater good. It's the best roster. I also think the best management has ever had."

If The Hardys have re-signed with TNA, this could still lead to a swansong with WWE because of the two promotions' partnership. The former WWE tag team champions have long expressed their desire to embark on one last run before deservedly entering the WWE Hall of Fame.

Matt Hardy on Possible WWE Run

Matt opened up about the possibility of another WWE run while with TNA in an interview on Insight with Chris Van Vliet in January: "That’s one of the great things about working with TNA now. They know that we do have a lot of love for WWE. They know that we would like to do the Hall of Fame."

Those comments came earlier this year, before the ongoing NXT Showdown angle ensued. This saw members of the TNA roster invade NXT, and The Hardy Boyz were involved in a special one-off episode pitting the two promotions against one another.

The Hardys defeated DarkState in a winner-takes-all match to become the new NXT tag team champions. This may just be the first of several appearances they make back on WWE TV if they have indeed re-signed with TNA.
