Adam Copeland still has a few items on his bucket list to check off before he calls it a career.

The 50-year-old recently told Uproxx that wrestling in Arena Mexico is one such item. While Copeland has never performed in the Mexico City venue, he says he attended a CMLL show there in disguise once while a world champion in another company.

Copeland said:

“I’d love to wrestle in Arena México. Never worked there for CMLL or anything like that, so I think that would be great.I’ve been as a fan, at the time I was world champ — so I went to this show with a lucha mask on and I sat in the third row and watched the entire show,” Copeland said with a laugh.

He continued to name The Tokyo Dome and Toronto’s Maple Leaf Garden as other venues he’d like to wrestle in:

“Tokyo Dome. Never performed there, love to do that. And then for me, the really big one is Maple Leaf Gardens. I don’t even know what it’s called now, but I want to do Maple Leaf Gardens.”

Maple Leaf Gardens is now the Mattamy Athletic Center, the home arena for the Toronto Metropolitan University sports teams. The venue has been heavily scaled back since it was home to the Toronto Maple Leafs and now holds 2,796 fans for hockey games. Ring of Honor has run a few events in the venue, including All-Star Extravaganza VI in 2014, the Global Wars tour in 2018, and Summer Supercard in 2019.

Other than venues he’d like to wrestle in, Copeland says there are plenty of stories to tell now that he’s back in AEW.

“There’s still some really fun stories to be explored that will probably eat up a year and a half, two years,” he says. “And then I think it’s going to be time. But again, I can’t sit there and dwell on it. I have to focus on each time I’m in that ring and go, here I am. You’ve got to be in the present. Otherwise, bad things can happen, but also being in the present, I soak it all in, I enjoy it all instead of getting too far forward.”
