This Christmas Eve, AEW Dynamite returns to the legendary Hammerstein Ballroom in New York City for the now annual Dynamite on 34th Street. With one week before the final AEW PPV of 2025, AEW Worlds End, The Continental Classic will conclude. The semi-finals will be set. The chase to top the Gold League is open. Likewise, every win matters for the Blue League. Some wrestlers will be working double duty at the Hammerstein on Dynamite and then Christmas Collision.
The only other match confirmed is for the Dynamite Diamond Ring, which will, for the first time since its inception, have a new holder! That beautiful diamond ring served Maxwell Jacob Friedman well over the past six years. It’s time for a new keeper. Aha!
Ricochet and Bandido were the last men standing after Dynamite in Manchester. Bringing together two of the best performers of 2025 is inspired booking. Both men have had excellent 2025s.
Bandido has made himself stand out in every match. From escaping the clutches of the Jericho Vortex to win the ROH World Championship and then the AEW World Tag Team Championship with Brody King in an incredible odd-couple tandem.
Ricochet, as a character, has come into his own. Excellent feuds with Swerve Strickland, continual beef with The Hurt Syndicate, and becoming the leader of his own faction before becoming the inaugural AEW National Champion.
Pitting them together could be the start of something bigger heading into Worlds End and/or 2026. Will Ricochet need to sneak and cheat his way to victory? With that ring, Ricochet could, as a character, do a lot with that pretty but damaging piece of jewelry. Or does Bandido end his 2025 with his third big prize and buck the historic trend?
In the Gold League, a tie at the top means every result matters. Reigning AEW Continental champion and 2024 Continental Classic winner, Kazuchika Okada, could face historic humiliation. Okada will face Speedball Mike Bailey. Bailey already scored an upset over fellow Don Callis Family partner, Kyle Fletcher. We know upsets and miracles are possible in the Hammerstein Ballroom.
Kyle Fletcher and Kevin Knight have one match left to advance. Knight has only the Bastard PAC left to face. Only an idiot would underestimate the AEW original and inaugural AEW International Champion.
Fletcher faces Jungle Jack Perry, who has had issues with the Don Callis Family since his return. We’ve seen that Perry is willing to do what it takes to upset the applecart. Can the Protostar advance? Speaking of Perry, the former Jungle Boy also needs to face PAC. This could be a brutal encounter for Darby Allin’s alternate, or a chance to get revenge for his rival.
In the Blue League, Jon Moxley’s final match will be against a foil and old rival, Orange Cassidy. Both men have bled for the AEW International and AEW World Championships. And how will this impact Moxley’s leadership of the Death Riders? Cassidy also must take on Konosuke Takeshita in what will be an incredible contrast of styles. Or the Alpha will juice Cassidy into a freshly squeezed mess?
Konosuke also must face Mascara Dorada. Can the Alpha clean sweep his way to the finals? Can Claudio Castagnoli defeat Roderick Strong and finally break out of the group stages? Can Strong gain three points against Dorada? Or end Castagnoli’s hopes?
So much to play for! So many stories and possibilities!
