AEW CEO Tony Khan revealed on November 27 some unfortunate news about its AEW (and ROH roster). AEW has been plagued by injuries, with a list that includes such names as Adam Cole, Thunder Rosa, and Brian Cage. Now another name has been added to its list.

In the live video that was posted on X, Khan noted that RUSH, who currently holds the ROH Tag Team Titles with Sammy Guevara, is going to be out for some time due to a knee injury.
Bandido, who holds the ROH World Championship, was set to defend the title against RUSH on Friday, December 5, 2025, at ROH Final Battle, but Khan has revealed that the match has been changed.
Bandido will now be defending the title in a Survival of the Fittest match, and his opponents are Guevara, Komander, Hechicero, Blake Christian, and The Beast Mortos. Bandido has been the ROH World Champion since defeating Chris Jericho at AEW Dynasty on June 4, 2025. Now, the last time that RUSH was the ROH World Champion was in February 2020. So it’s been a bit for the leader of La Facción Ingobernable.
The last time that RUSH was in action was on the November 15 episode of AEW Collision. There, he and Guevara teamed with FTR (Cash Wheeler and Dax Harwood) in a match against Bandido, Juice Robinson, and JetSpeed (“Speedball” Mike Bailey and Kevin Knight).
RUSH signed a full-time contract with AEW in September 2022. He and Guevara have been the ROH World Tag Team Champions since they defeated The Outrunners (Truth Magnum and Turbo Floyd) at ROH Death Before Dishonor in August. It’s the only title that RUSH has held since signing with AEW. As noted, AEW acquired ROH in March 2022.
RUSH and Guevara's only title defense was in September on an episode of ROH on HonorClub, and it was against Marshall and Ross Von Erich. They will likely have to relinquish the titles because of RUSH’s knee injury. Either a tournament will be held at Final Battle to find the new champions (there wasn’t a title match on the card anyway), or another member of La Faccion Ingobernable could take RUSH’s place. Dralistico maybe? Who knows what Tony Khan will announce? Anyway, here’s hoping for a speedy recovery for RUSH.
