AEW Star Will Ospreay Written Off Due To Injury
AEW

AEW All In: Texas was a huge success, especially the chaotic main event that saw "Hangman" Adam Page finally end Jon Moxley's run as AEW World Champion. The ending minutes of the match turned into WrestleMania 40, with the likes of Bryan Danielson, Darby Allin, Will Ospreay, and Swerve Strickland getting involved, but for Ospreay, an attack by the Death Riders saw him taken out on a stretcher. The same spot happened to Samoa Joe earlier in the night, but that was for a good reason, as he's set to take some time off to promote the new season of Twisted Metal. For Ospreay, however, he was written off because he's hurt.

Will Ospreay Is Dealing With Nagging Injuries

According to Fightul Select, the stretcher angle at All In for Will Ospreay was done as a way to get him off of TV for a while. They reported:

"Will Ospreay had some big moments at AEW All In, but it might be a bit before we see more...

"We’re told that Will Ospreay has been working banged up, and is expected to take some time off. Those we spoke to believe that he will be out over a month, but an exact time table isn’t known."

For months, the assumption of many fans was that Jon Moxley would be defeated at All In: Texas, due to it being the biggest stage possible. The only question was who would be the one to do it. Will Ospreay was the favorite and likely choice due to his popularity, but in a surprising moment, Tony Khan booked "Hangman" Adam Page to beat Ospreay and win the Owen Hart Foundation tournament, thus earning an All In title shot.

Page's redemption story ended up making him the perfect choice to take down Mox. With Ospreay's nagging injuries, it was best to have him wait. He's not a World Champion yet, but he will soon. First, let's hope that he gets back to the ring healthy as soon as possible.
